Extremely slow wifi speeds in fedora 40

So basically I am using a dell inspiron 5593 with fedora 40 installed. I have switched from windows after a long time of experimenting with linux in a vm. Now my wifi speeds are much slower which I used to get in windows. I have a 40 megabit per second connection but I only get 2.46 megabit download speed in fedora. My wifi card after running lspci is qualcomm atheros QCA9377 (rev31). How can I fix this moreover there is just a single bar, or sometimes no bar in my internet icon in fedora.

could you share how you got that information?

Generally the internet - browsing etc, was extremely slow. And I got this by a speed test on https://speedtest.net

browser?

Its a fresh install, so I used the default browser which is firefox, eitherway how is it related to the problem?

is your internet connection ipv4 or ipv6?

I tried by disabling ipv6 it didn’t work, I am using the stock settings now.

Ok check details of your current wi-fi connection about signal strength ,link speed and supported frequencies and share with us
