Council’s working session updates on Strategy 2028

Hi folks :wave:

I have some Strategy 2028 updates to share since the last post from Matthew here on Discourse. After completing the Collaboration & Communication Tooling Objective, we focused our work on Mentorship.

What we have accomplished so far:

  • We have identified 4 main focus areas: Mentored Projects (Outreachy, GSoC, GSoD), Informal Mentorship opportunities, Join-SIG, and Mentor Summit.
  • We have identified the stakeholders and short-term/intermediate/long-term outcomes for each focus area.

What’s next:

  • Identifying the lead/s for each focus area.
  • Polishing the outcomes.
  • The leads will identify activities required for each output, and then the inputs needed for each activity.
