Consecutive key press is not working in fedora 41 and 42 for thinkpadE14

After and an update during fedora 41 and then upgrading to fedora 42, when I press any key in key board consecutively such as “aa”, “bbbb”, etc or backspace or arrow keys, it’s not working; instead of “aa” it gives “a” and same is the case with all other keys. But it’s not the case when I use other OS (windows-10) on the same machine. Can anyone suggest any possible solutions.

If I have to type e.g “aa”, I have keep a time delay between two key press of around 2-3 seconds.

Please tell us the edition/spin you are using.

Bounce keys maybe enabled?

If you’re on GNOME, check with:

gsetttings get org.gnome.desktop.a11y.keyboard bouncekeys-enable

If the value is true, set it to false from the Accessibility menu in GNOME Settings, or via the following command:

gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.a11y.keyboard bouncekeys-enable false
