I feel inadequate asking here, but I’d feel just as bad asking in the main Linux Mint forums, because this could easily be a Fedora quirk I’m unaware of.
Relevant data:
- Cinnamon 6.4.9
- Fedora 42 Workstation 64-bit
Problem:
Sometimes when I click on the taskbar icons for open windows (“Grouped Window List” applet), the backgrounds of those icons will flash red, and not allow me to do the action I have left clicking set to (Toggle activation of last focused window).
I do not know what causes this. It isn’t the modifier keys (Ctrl, Shift, Alt, Fn or Super), and it can’t be any of the other keys because Cinnamon doesn’t let me, by default, move the cursor with a touchpad with a letter key held down.
Started happening a few minutes ago, not even after running sudo dnf update
or anything.
