It turns out that suddenly, Chrome tabs started scrolling automatically very fast to the bottom of the page. Very annoying!
I have Chrome 125.0.6422.141 (Official Build) (64-bit). System is GNU Linux Fedora 39.
- I found that this does not happen if change user.
- It doesn’t happen with other applications either (e.g. Emacs)
- It doesn’t happen with another browser (Firefox) either.
So that it seems to be specific for Chrome and related to some configuration issue.
Any ideas?
I open Chrome tabs and I expect them to not scroll untill I do it with mouse or keyboard.
But the tabs scroll endlessly to the bottom of the page.
Finally I found the culprit. It was the Orca package. I see that there is a program called orca that activates, so
I deactivated it. To do that, I search in KDE settings for “orca” and it turns out that
deactivating it and restarting everything seems to be OK!!
