Hello everyone,
I’ve been experiencing a frustrating issue with Chrome since the recent updates. The browser has become noticeably slow, particularly when using Facebook. Here’s a summary of the problem and what I’ve tried so far:
- Symptoms:
- Chrome runs sluggishly, especially on Facebook.
- Performance improves after restarting Chrome, but the issue returns within a few minutes.
- Troubleshooting Steps I’ve Taken:
- Disabled all extensions: I tried disabling all installed Chrome extensions to see if they were causing the problem. Unfortunately, this didn’t resolve the issue.
- Switched to GNOME Classic (Xorg): After logging out and switching to GNOME Classic (Xorg), the problem seemed to be fixed. Chrome ran smoothly without any slowdowns.
Given that the issue appears to be related to the default GNOME environment, I’m curious to know what could be causing this. Is there a compatibility issue with the recent updates and the default GNOME setup? If so, are there any recommended solutions or settings adjustments I could try to fix this without having to switch to GNOME Classic?
Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance!
