Hi, I have a hard time troubleshooting by myself the problem with my Epson L3110 printer. Would you guys be willing to help me please?
I was not able to make the printing utility work while using it via USB after installing the driver from Epson’s website.
Something is wrong with Cups working with setting "the EPSON USB custom backend to monitor the printer status during printing " they mention in their manual.
For step 4.Change [Local Printers] field to “Epson Inkjet Printer #1 (Epson Backend)” , so click [Continue]. There is no such thing as “Epson Inkjet Printer #1 (Epson Backend)”.
Only “Local Printers: EPSON L3110 Series (EPSON L3110 Series)” appears in Cups .
I keep clicking EPSON L3110 and Pressing continue but on next screen usb://EPSON/L3110%20Series?serial=583634363030393417&interface=1 is still there.
There is also no “continue” button in my Cups at step 6. “Select [Continue] when the screen of Setting “Model” is displayed.”
Only Modify Printer button is there.
Seems the people making the instructions are omitting something or something just does not set up well in Cups connected to the newly installed printer-escpr-1.8.6-1.x86_64.rpm I got from their website.
Currently the picture below shows my current Cups info regarding how my printer is registered on my laptop:
I do not know what is wrong and why Printer Utility can not recognize my printer:
