Bytepath is a commercial game which has been released open source. I’ve avoided packaging commercial games since that might decrease sales. However the official release requires love 10.2 and can’t be run directly from steam. Link above goes to my fork which runs on the latest love. Do you think packaging it for Fedora is a good idea? I’ve tracked down the license for some of the sound files but I don’t know the source for most. I don’t doubt that the creator followed the license requirement but can’t confirm. I’ve debated replacing all the sounds.

Hi @dulsi,
Did you get anywhere with this?
I’ve tentatively packaged bytepath for myself, working off the version here by RunningDroid. I’ll put the spec file up somewhere soon.
Note that’s 1.0.1
which only has minor changes on top of your tree, not master which includes the Unofficial Patch (which is CC-BY licensed, I’ve asked the patch author on Steam to consider relicensing to MIT like the rest of the code).
I’m on board with replacing the sounds or even composing new ones. I’ve been looking for a musical project to work on.
It’s such a high-quality game, it’s a shame to let it sit in almost-free limbo.
