Blackground with newer kernel

Oh! I see… then I misunderstood you from the start.

Please forget everything I said you before. :upside_down_face:

I know I sound like a stuck record, but have you ever installed any extensions from extensions.gnome.org?

Sorry for having not written it clearly:
The screen is not black, ‘just’ the desktop background, showing no more a wallpaperImage.

Thanks for all of your thoughts and suggestions!

I have installed ‘Tweaks’ now . The only extensions are ‘Alsa mixer’ and ‘User themes’.
Even when disabling extensions. I do have a black background .
Icons and top status caption is visible.

But after the last dnf update not a full black:
On the left and bottom of the screen I do see the selected background, but only having a width of a few pixels.

Next effect: I played a bit with setting for the desktop icons (Panel → Properties). It once happened that the desktop folder crashed and then the selected background image was fully visible. After restart it was as before: black.

I did the same command line upgrade F31 → F32 on an other Desktop PC with GeForce GTX1050Ti and everything worked fine …

The background is now back, on the entire screen after running the update :grinning:
