After updating Fedora 41, my device became slow and the system did not work smoothly
No issue on my side after Fedora 41 upgrade. Can you try to check the load & running processes on your system through top
and check the logs through journalctl -f
?
Please post the output of inxi -Fzxx
so we know what hardware you have.
If you have nvidia GPU you might not be using the rpmfusion drivers.
The inxi output can confirm that for us.
Device-1: NVIDIA GA107M [GeForce RTX 3050 Mobile] vendor: ASUSTeK
driver: nouveau v: kernel arch: Ampere pcie: speed: 8 GT/s lanes: 8
bus-ID: 01:00.0 chip-ID: 10de:25a2
after i run that, this is my system information. so this is ain’t using rpmfushion drivers right? how could i fix it
I believe that means that you are indeed using the open source nouveau driver. You can find instructions for installing Nvidia drivers from RPMfusion here: Howto/NVIDIA - RPM Fusion
Well, this is an effective solution, but when I use Nvidia drivers, it forces me to use x11, and I face problems with it, including bad scroll on the touchpad and Waydroid not working. If you find a solution to these problems, I will be grateful.
I don’t own an Nvidia GPU myself but a friend of mine uses Nvidia drivers from RPM Fusion with Wayland no problem. Why are you forced to use X11?
Added f41
This is because I am using a Legacy GeForce 600/700
These are old graphics cards from 2013
