Youtube not working, videos just get the spinning wheel started 12/19/2024

Has anyone else noticed this problem? All of a sudden yesterday, Fx isn’t working with Youtube, or rather Youtube isn’t working with Fx. If I launch Chrome, of course, Youtube works perfectly fine. I’m wondering if Google in their never ending quest to stop ad blockers from using Youtube has screwed over Fx users.

It’s not the Ublock because it is off for Youtube, and I pay for the premium subscription so none of Googles adblock hi-jinks should be be affecting me.

Seems to be only occurring with the Fedora provided Fx. Nightly isn’t exhibiting the symptoms.

“Fx” is Firefox? Which package version are you using? Did the problem start after a package update?

I just did another update and the issue seems to have resolved itself. I’ll comment if it comes back. Weird.

Appears this is a kernel regression that was introduced in 6.12.5 - backed out to 6.12.4 and problem resolved.
