WiFi Auto-reconnect after AP Nightly Reboot

My mesh routers and modem do a nightly reboot at 3 AM. It takes about 2 minutes or so to come back up. WiFi will not reconnect afterwards. In the morning I can simply hit “connect” in the UI and it reconnects fine. Any settings I can tweak to modify this and get it to reconnect after WiFi is back up and running? I have an Intel AXE210 in my laptop. Obviously this is not a big issue, just annoying.

Thanks,

Ralph

I have AX210 and Linux on a laptop and have a daily router reboot (also 3AM :stuck_out_tongue: ); with a Android TV box connected with USB-C Ethernet, it took less than a minute for my laptop to reconnect to the AP after the TV reconnected.

I didn’t adjust a setting afaik to control that and it seemed quick, but I’m curious what could adjust that too. One idea is wifi roaming, but I didn’t see a GUI way to set that.

Make sure:

  • The connection is available to all users.
  • The secrets are stored in the config, not the keyring.

If the issue persists, post the config redacting the private parts.

  • if its not a big issue (just annoying) y
  • ou can be sure that it is an emergency. and you can take that to the bank
