Widevine DRM Protected Content on Firefox Nightly

Hello!

I recently wanted to switch to Firefox Nightly given that they now have an official aarch64/arm64 build, and there are some new features (such as native tab groups) that I would like to try out. However, after switching, widevine DRM protected content isn’t working anymore, even though its working in the normal firefox install. I’ve tried re-running the widevine-installer including entirely deleting widevine before running, and nothing fixes it. In firefox settings no DRM section appears in both firefox and firefox nightly.

I was wondering if anyone might have a solution for this!

Thanks!!

May I ask why you need DRM?
Do you know https://www.defectivebydesign.org ?

OK…
First, the regular version of Firefox must be installed.

copy asahi.js gmpwidevine.js files from the /usr/lib64/firefox/defaults/pref directory
and paste to (firefox-nightly-root)/defaults/pref directory.

and restart the firefox-nightly with the user-agent swicher extension.

That’s it…
