I tried reinstalling the KDE Plasma desktop, but it still didn’t solve the problem. How to solve this problem?
How did you do that?
Did you use sudo dnf install @kde-desktop-environment or sudo dnf groupinstall "KDE Plasma Workspaces"?

I tried it, but it didn’t work.
On F40, KDE only has a Wayland session by default. My guess is that your GDM is falling back to X11 and so it only lists X11 sessions.
Is ‘GNOME’ an X11 session? (echo $XDG_SESSION_TYPE)
