What's the difference between the change proposal "auto-update in fedora kinoite" and the already existing "rpm-ostreed-automatic.service"?

The first one enable the discover auto-updates, but wouldn’t that be redundant with the rpm-ostreed-automatic.service also updating the system automatically?

Removed f41

rpm-ostreed-automatic.service is not enabled by default and does not offer visible interaction for users in the graphical interface.

The change to enable auto-update for Kinoite will use the Discover support and graphical interface so that it’s visible to users.

I dare ask what Workstation and GNOME are doing if there’s something separate for Discover and rpm-ostree :stuck_out_tongue:

GNOME Software on Fedora Silverblue already does automatic updates.
