Hi. Something strange happens when I switch from Xorg to Wayland. My GPU that I use for display is Nvidia T400 with driver version 515.65.01. I can run some apps without problems, for example terminal and chromium. But some apps (settings, clock) aren’t displayed. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
Is it possible that you have multiple displays and another display is set as the primary?
No, it’s not. I have only one display. But I have another GPU (RTX 3090). Obviously, only T400 is connected to the display.
It may be that the apps of concern have not been updated to work properly with wayland. Since wayland is still relatively new not everything has been fully updated to support display on wayland so occasionally there are some that work well on xorg but not wayland.
What apps are you having issues with?
Even built-in apps don’t work, such as Settings, Clock, Software.
Have you verified everything is up to date and in sync?
sudo dnf --refresh upgrade followed by sudo dnf distro-sync
