I want to assign a shortcut to quickly trigger what otherwise needs three clicks (Gnome menu → Power symbol → Switch user…).
Previously I had a shortcut assigned to run gdmflexiserver which worked fine, now this command is gone in f44. I’ve done my research but couldn’t find an alternative that works in Fedora 44.
That can’t be too hard, can it?
(I found Ctrl+Alt+F1 but that adds significant delay and additionally it is not the shortcut I am used to and want to assign.)
That still has a significantly longer delay compared to Gnome’s built in button and for a short but noticeable moment I see my password in clear text in the top left corner… That is a bit surprising. (Could be due to the Ctrl+Alt+F1 or your command and only on repeated use, haven’t tested that in dept yet.)
At least I can reassign that to my shortcut, so thank you
