Hello, I like to play music in firefox, because that’s fairly reliable and I don’t know a reliable downloaded music player on fedora.
edit:I just noticed a behavior, when freegal music player (library music player) starts a new song that also triggers the firefox volume to disappear and reappear at max volume. But changing windows when the same song is ongoing can also have the song change from 20% to 100%. I’m not sure what the consistent trigger is or might be, and I want to supercede it by just preventing firefox from being allowed to set it’s own volume.
I do other things such as play games and do phone calls on my computer, and I would like firefox to be at 20% or 50% volume levels comparatively. How do I set it so firefox is not allowed to change it’s own volume and is capped at a certain volume level comparative to everything else.
I noticed that even with firefox active, if I changed tabs it would jump back to 100% volume. Or if I changed windows or screens, firefox would change itself to be back at 100% volume.
I don’t know if this image uploaded correctly, but this is what the volume bars look like with no games, just discord (vesktop browser) and firefox open, plus a terminal but that’s unrelated.
hardware if it matters.
