Hi, I have a problem while recording videos on my laptop.
While I record a video, the /Videos/Screencast folder is empty.
It’s been a few days I have this bug.
It’s working fine with screenshots, not with screencast.
I’ve installed dconf Editor, but there is no path for /org/gnome/gnome-screenshot/auto-save-directory or /org/gnome/gnome-screencast
Do you have any idea on what I should do ?
In advance, thank you.
Hi and welcome to .
Maybe for some reason the videos don’t get created. In case they were created but in different location in the Home directory, you should be able to find them:
find ~ -iname "*Screencast*"
Are you using Fedora Workstation? If so, which version?
Hi Mike,
While doing this find ~ -iname "*Screencast*"
I can see the path /home/marinfa/Videos/Screencasts but it remains empty.
I’m on Fedora 39
There are some open issues in GNOME’s issue tracker on Gitlab regarding screencast issues.
Some of them are mentioning about an issue in wireplumber
and a fix in version 0.5.1
. Which version do you have installed (dnf list installed wireplumber
)?
