i have fedora workstation 42 installed on a Intel Nuc6i3SYB running a i3-6100u and 12gb memory and Intel® HD Graphics 520 (SKL GT2). i use this to watch streaming sports, youtube and downloaded video.
But every video i watch the video seems to lag before it corrects itself. this occurs every couple of minutes. i do like using fedora over other gnome based distros so hoping someone has a solution tor me.
Is the lag both in youtube and with downloaded videos?
What browser are you using?
What local video player are you using?
Hi, yeah the issue occurs whether it is streaming video or from a downloaded file. Using VLC and Brave browser.
I have Ubuntu 24.04 on a separate drive and none of these issues occur.
It’s not normal, my vids all work fine.
Might be worth following the instructions at
and trying another video player such as mpv
