I just upgraded from Fedora Silverblue 40 to 41. On 40 I had the i3 dektop environment installed and it got removed from the update because all “X” related packages where removed (drivers, xorg-*). The i3 package is still present.
So I figured I have to change the “spin” to the i3 variant but I fail to do it. Just installing the fedora-release-identity-i3 fails because some packages are already provided by fedora-release-identity-silverblue.
BTW: the sway desktop that I have also installed is sill available. But its really unstable on the nouveau nvidia driver i.e. it falls back to the login screen after a couple of minutes.
What is the right thing to do now? Change the “spin” or just manually adding all missing x-packages?
