There’s an issue with workrave-gnome - Fedora Packages, specifically 2322802 – GNOME applet incompatible with GNOME 47. A fix was published by the developer a few weeks ago. It hasn’t been adopted by Fedora yet because the package is orphaned. What would it take to ship the new version?
An orphaned package would require someone to adopt it as a maintainer to continue the updates.
Are you volunteering?
That depends on the required time investment. If I just need to occasionally queue a new build in Fedora’s CI to produce updated RPMs based on an existing build script and install the new RPM locally to check for obvious bugs before publishing the package, I’d probably be able to do that.
Having looked at Joining the Package Maintainers :: Fedora Docs and Package maintainer responsibilities :: Fedora Docs, it would be an extra responsibility I cannot currently accommodate.
Where can I find the build script used by workrave-1.11.0~beta.13-2.fc41 | Build Info | koji? I could try to manually produce the RPM asset as a workaround.
You could try building with the last spec file (Tree - rpms/workrave - src.fedoraproject.org) on COPR or locally.
edit: Decided to try this so made an updated build.
grumpey/workrave Copr
That worked, thanks Joe!
