Unclear log messages

Hello all

I got some weird messages in gnome logs for which google searching provided no answers:

ACPI BIOS Error (bug): Could not resolve symbol [_SB.PCI0.SAT0.SPT5._GTF.DSSP], AE_NOT_FOUND (20210604/psargs-330)

and:

ACPI Error: Aborting method _SB.PCI0.SAT0.SPT5._GTF due to previous error (AE_NOT_FOUND) (20210604/psparse-529)

There some more messages but ther are basically the same except for the numbers changing slightly. My drivers seem to be working fine and I don’t know what produces these messages. I use Fedora 34 Workstation. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Those messages seem to be 4 months old (20210604) so I don’t think they are really relevant today.

Are you still getting the same messages now? If the error is current and continuing then we should look at it, but not when it is a 4 month old message that is not seeming to impact your operation today (or even recently)

Hm, stupid me haven’t even noticed that. However I have cleanly installed fedora 10 days ago, completely wiping the hard drives, so this has now become even stranger. Moreover the PC was not even used on 2021-06-04 since it was assembled from scraps that were not used for years.

Is there some other date/time related to that log entry? journalctl for example gives this
Apr 05 19:18:37 eagle.home.domain audit: BPF prog-id=18649 op=LOAD
and dmesg gives this
[1134412.130094] wlp4s0: associated

One is actual date/time and the other is seconds since boot.
Most logs I have seen have a related date/time but what you posted did not include that.
