Unable to log into GNOME

OS: Fedora Linux 42 (Workstation Edition) x86_64
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X (24) @ 4.67 GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER [Discrete]

I switched to Xfce about a week ago because of the mouse click issues that several others have reported. Last night I updated and tried logging back into GNOME to see if the issue had been resolved, but I’m unable to log in.

All I’ve found so far is this:

[ 34.603996] gnome-shell[2865]: segfault at ffffffffffffffc0 ip 00007f4f629907bb sp 00007ffed2056038 error 5 in libmutter-cogl-16.so.0.0.0[4e7bb,7f4f62942000+62000] likely on CPU 9 (core 12, socket 0)

Has anybody else experienced this?

Try to downgrade mutter. sudo dnf downgrade mutter while login in in xfce
