I’ve missed some news about thermal sensor monitoring and today, after migrated from gnome to kde I’ve noticed that only battery sensor are recognised. Is correct so I have to wait or I need to do something?
Yes, sensors are not supported yet (except the battery).
The NVMe via SMART and the 10-GB Ethernet card expose temperature sensors as well
The therman monitor sensor situation on KDE is weird.
It is on my list somewhere, but the main problem is this:
- there is Thermal Monitor Fix
- this needs the deprecated “ksysguard” though
ksysguard is the very old system monitor package. It is still available so you can just install it and have it work, like I do, but this may get messy in Plasma 6 or something, as its deprecated.
So this Plasmoid would need to be modified to use “plasma-systemmonitor” instead
