T480 Fingerprint reader

Linux 5.8 was just added to Fedora stable repos, it supports the fingerprint reader for the thinkpad T480.

$ lsusb
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 06cb:009a Synaptics, Inc. Metallica MIS Touch Fingerprint Reader

Of course life is hard, and installing both fprintd and fprintd-pam is not enough to make the fingerprint work on silverblue (and neither on workstation for all I know). Has anyone managed to make it work?

I wonder if this is more suited for ask.fedora.

There is this guide for workstation, but I am not in the mood to adapt it for silverblue right now.
