Hi all! I have an AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS, plenty of ram as well running F41. In the past couple hours, if I try to type fast or hold down backspace (terminal, Firefox, anywhere), it completely slows my computer to a crawl/stops completely. The only thing I have installed before that was mySQL and HCUp for Haskell (and upgraded packages this AM). Could it be that I did not set up sql security correctly and the PC is compromised, that is why it is running slow? Or is this just an issue created by a recent update?
In a terminal windows run the top
command.
Reproduce the problem and look at top output to see what if there is an program taking a lot of CPU time. What program is it?
If nothing shows up then I’d suggest looking at the user and system journal logs at the time of the slow down for clues.

I should also say I see no spikes in RAM or CPU usage while this is happening. Simply freezes to a stop when holding backspace.
Speech++ and orca taking up the most CPU?
Turned volume up and my TTS was running…… probably why lol thank you

Okay look in the logs a lock-up maybe in the GPU or other hardware is possible.
Hopefully there will be a error log to help diagnose this.
