There is an recent issue in Fedora 40 related to the CPU on the Surface Go. I think the issue has been resolved but cannot test it personally.

Many programs crash with `Illegal instruction (core dumped)`

Hey, I tried installing The Fedora Workstation 40 Beta on my laptop and It gets installed fine, but some programs crash when I run them (node, npm, mediawriter, prismlauncher). I also noticed that on boot a notification comes up that gstreamer1 or something like that crashed. What I did to try to fix: installed the beta from the server netinst, the Live ISO and the F39 Live iso (working here in F39) and then upgraded with dnf. Integrated Camera Errors on Surface Go 1 | IVSC

Hi everyone! I am using Fedora 39 on a Surface Go 1 with the normal fedora kernel. About one month ago ( around 2023-12-28) I noticed that the integrated cameras (ids OV5693 and OV8865) are recognised by both cheese and snapshot. Today I wanted to try them out again and the cameras were not recognised via libcamera and any other camera application.
