Yes, that’s basically same as the documented option A in Steam from Flathub might not start on Fedora 38 .
I had the issue with the RPM fusion version, I ran it with -bigpicture
and close it, then run it again normaly and it’s working now.
For what it’s worth, I’ve reset the override on my F39 system, and while it takes second to start, it doesn’t just fail as it was for a while. I think we can call this one resolved.
Well, running in background is enabled by default. So even if you reset the override, it should still have the same value. What happened for some people, for unknown reason, I think, is that the setting for running in background flipped to disabled for them. And therefore reverting it back to enabled was needed.
I’m not completely sure if this is resolved for everyone. It started happening after people upgraded to F38 (for some). But some people will upgrade F37->F39 and might see it as well. I think I’d rather keep the issue documented even for F39, just to be safe. Thoughts?
