Sometimes Crashes While Suspending on HP Laptop

I’m using Fedora 42 KDE Plasma on an HP Laptop-15 (fd-xxxx). Sometimes (usually at least the third time) after resuming from a suspend, the screen comes on to a black image with an immovable mouse cursor over it. No keys cause any response, even after waiting for several minutes. I don’t think it’s a buggy wifi issue, because I’ve disabled it and switched to a USB wifi adapter. Anyone know what I can do?

EDIT: After more testing/crashing, I found that the hard crash seems to happen randomly when the laptop starts the suspend, not while trying to wake up

I can’t seem to figure out where to find the logs for this? ‘Journald browser’ doesn’t show any “suspend” related logs, while ‘ksystemlog’ and ‘journalctl’ don’t seem to show logs from the previous boot. I’m sure I’m using these programs wrong or just need to look somewhere else?

In a terminal read man journalctl. There are several ways to select a previous boot. I often use journalctl --no-hostname -b -1 ... where ... is “filter” options to focus on relevant entries.
