Software and 'stuck' keys

Hi everyone, first post ever here

This is also happening to me ever since Fedora 37, now with Fedora 42 it is also happening, it would seem that “something”, it must be software, I’ve changed laptops and it continues to happen, Synergy (to share mouse and keyboard is one of the software that I’ve considered it to be a culprit;

as to “fix” I find out which key is “stuck” control or shift or alt gr
and then I hit the key five times in a row to disable
sometimes ALT + F2 helps to reboot cinnamon

HOW CAN THIS BE FIXED PROPERLY?!?!?!

Please, the thread you used was last commented on in July a year ago. It is not related to f41 or f42 since both were released after the latest comment on that thread. (f41 & f42 are the only supported versions at this time)

I am moving your post to a new thread and closing the one where you necro posted.

Given that the issue reproduces on several of your systems, and given that this is not an an issue frequently reported, it seems to be dependent on your setups.

That can certainly be the culprit. From what I’ve read on their website, it supports automatic key swapping as well as hotkey configuration, which sounds like this program acts as an interface between the peripherals and the system. I imagine a bug (or even a feature) could cause the behavior you’re experiencing.

Did you try reproducing the issue with this piece of software disabled/uninstalled?
