Hi everyone,
I’m fairly new to Fedora and installed Silverblue on a Dell Latitude 7390 laptop using basic graphics mode as I couldn’t get it to boot normally without. Everything works fine and except that I can’t adjust the brightness or use the nightlight through either Wayland or Xorg. There may be other things that aren’t working but so far those are the only things I’ve discovered.
I’ll post some output below, it’s running Intel graphics and from all the research I’ve done, it should just work as I believe the Intel Drivers are integrated into the kernel.
I tried removing ‘nomodeset’ from the Grub menu and booted from there but it froze up on me after reaching the screen to enter my password - hard drive is encrypted. So I’ve had to stick with using nomodeset for the meantime but I’m hoping someone will know how to go about getting it to work, if possible.
I know how to do basic things but I’m certainly not an expert with terminal commands and editing files etc. so please give me any info in a fairly step by step way.
Thanks heaps in advance
