Screen sometimes not locked when waking from sleep

Sometimes after putting the laptop to sleep by closing the lid, the screen is not locked and the screensaver is not activated when I reopen the screen. This is pretty disconcerting.

Currently running Fedora 36, but I started noticing this issue on some prior release.

Automatic Screen Lock is enabled in Settings → Privacy → Screen Lock

# gsettings get org.gnome.desktop.screensaver lock-enabled
true

# gsettings get org.gnome.desktop.lockdown disable-lock-screen
false

Hmmm, I haven’t seen that here, but I also normally explicitly lock mine with Super+L (lower case).

It wasn’t like this before, not sure when it started. Maybe I’ll have to start locking explicitly with Super+L as a workaround, but it’s nice to have the screen saver and screen lock automatically activate when the laptop lid is closed.
