Im using Fedora Silverblue on a Huwaei Matebook 13 with the wlan chipset rtw_8822ce; Before i was using fedora workstation. After a kernel upgrade my Wlan stopped working. I can connect to my router but i get no working internet connection. So Workstation wasn’t usable for me anymore. I installed Fedora silverblue an pinned the default installation version with kernel 3.17 and my wifi and internet connection is working fine.
Today i upgraded to the fedora silverblue 37 beta in hopes of a working wlan. but the bug is persistent. And i renders this machine useless. Here my dmesg output hope i fix is coming soon.

I guess you meant Kernel 5.17.x ?
If you have RTW_8822ce you will need to install the driver separately … search for RTW_8822ce with search option on the top.
Hey Anhur!
I am an arch user and have never used Fedora, I only registered here to say thank you very much!
I would never have guessed that the problem of my unstable wi-fi is related to the geoclue2 package. I’ve been googling for hours to figure out what’s going on lol
This thread is both useful and maddening. I can’t believe I’ve been reverting my linux-firmware package for the last 4 months when I could have just turned off location services. Ha!
To make this thread more useful, I’m going to say:
Turn off location services like this. Go to Settings>>>Privacy>>>Location Services
There’s been some interesting and useful discussion over on the Fedora Forum, where I initially went for help. It might be worth checking out if you want to dig deeper.
I started the thread after determining that my WiFi issues were tied to the linux-firmware package. More specifically, that upgrading beyond linux-firmware-20220610-135.fc36.noarch borked WiFi in weird and dumb ways.
