Rpm-ostree cannot be enable as a source in the discover store

I just installed f40 kinoite (dear god that is a bad name) and I am trying to install some RPM apps. When I open the discover store and try to enable rpmostree as a source the line just clicks but nothing happens. No feedback or error message. nothing.

I bet its some command I should run on the terminal but my main annoyance is that I dont get any feedback as to what is wrong with the option in the discover store.

Does that work as intended? What should I do to enable it in the discover store as my google fu fails me.

I am new to fedora and I came to it for stability.

If possible, could you provide a screenshot?

To add to this I know I can just rpm-ostree install **** but I would like to enable the GUI support of the ostree in discover as I can see that its there and supported. If for any reason it supposed to not work the it should be hidden from the gui.

There is no support in Discover for overlaying packages on Kinoite and it’s not a planned feature. We recommend using Flatpaks for applications.

Discover only supports updating the system using rpm-ostree.

If you want to add packages to the system image then it’s only done via the command line as it comes with caveats and you have to be able to do things via the command line in case there are packaging conflicts or issues with updates.
