Refine App messed up my config

Yesterday I installed an app called Refine to test it as an alternative to Tweaks. I tried some of its settings, only to change it back to the defaults. Today after turning on my computer I immediately noticed a few things were off:

  • with no apps open there are 4 workspaces instead of 2.
  • All the dark menus are white instead if dark (notifications menu, config menu)
  • the top bar is now white, and the time has moved to the right hand side. Places now shows up on the bar.

I tried restarting… nope. I opened refine enabled and disabled options would work. Restarted again. I tried uninstalling Refine and all the app files.

At this point I don’t know what to do, I had a long day. I don’t want to reinstall Fedora. Ifanyone knows of a fix it so GNOME’s back to the original way, please let me know. I know I should probably report this on Gitlab too but I want to fix my problem first.

One other thing that may be important to mention, is that after I got this issue, refine displayed a warning about not working on unsupported devices (anything not GNOME). This warning was not displayed before I had any issues.

It sounds like you’re using the GNOME Classic session:
