What news and information sources would people recommend for keeping up with Linux news and developments? (I don’t mean only Fedora specifically, more the Linux landscape in general.)
Generally, I prefer text to video.
Linux weekly news is very high quality reporting https://lwn.net
Its comment section well worth reading as well.
They cover the linux kernel, languages and major annoucements.

I’ve actually started picking up physical magazines whenever I come across them at ether Microcenter or Barns & Noble. Usually they have a copy of ether Linux Magazine or Linux Format. Too bad that just after I picked up my first issue of Linux Format, they announce that they are ending publication of they’re paper magazines 
. I like that can just throw them in the car and read them where ever, no WIFI needed. I find it cute how Linux Magazine still includes ISO discs with two distros on one disc, some times I actually use them. I feel like Linux Magazine has more of a professional/enterprise focus where as Linux Format feels more focused on hobbyists or average desktop users. They both have fun Raspberry Pi projects that I enjoy taking a crack at. I’d recommend giving both a read regardless!

The Register is always fun. OSes News • The Register for articles a little more OS-specific
planet.kde.org and planet.gnome.org are frequently updated with interesting things going on around those desktops.
Oh, and of course distrowatch.com - watch out for DistroWatch Weekly every monday.

The Register is a bit controversial, because it was taken over by M$ and they enforce many M$ related news everywhere.
*The Register* is owned by Situation Publishing. Do you have any evidence that Situation Publishing is owned by M$?
El Reg often posts articles critical of M$. And they are funny. I’ve never seen anything by M$ that is funny. Other than Windoze of course.
