Recommended Image for a (distrobox) packaging dev station?

My lab partner runs Arch and he wants to become a Fedora Package maintainer and when we got to

we noticed that he doesn’t usednf on his desktop.
I suggested he consider distrobox and he asked which base image to use.
I see the link to the community images repo at:

but I wonder if there are any specific suggestions for building a box to packaging (it has to have gpg and other things…) ?

Is the fact that he does not use dnf a choice (using the gui software manager instead?) or because he simply has never used is or was unaware of it?

Many of us use the cli dnf and totally avoid the gui software managers (packagekit based).

Well in his case, he runs Arch Linux, not Fedora.
His native package manager is pacman, not dnf
So I suggested that he set up a container running Fedora and then do all of his copr/koji, whatever, inside that container.

Then I realized that I need to do a similar thing (I think) on my Aurora-DX laptop. So I have been following the Fedora Package docs to see how far I can get on my own.

Of course, there may already be a container definition file somewhere…
