I have not been able to use any RDP client on Android (aFreeRDP, aRDP Pro, Remote Desktop Manager) to connect to gnome-remote-desktop because connections keep being dropped after some time of usage. RDP and mDNS is allowed through the firewall.
I also occasionally experience issues with the host machine suddenly becoming unreachable over the network requiring a reconnect to the router. The hostname is set to static. This is reproducible with firewall disabled.
Edit:
I failed to understand this until I realized I have a DECO mesh network and that the logs were complaining about transport layer issues. I figured out this was the DECO’s fault after some testing. Fast Roaming is the cause. This feature seems to be unreliable and not seamless at all causing both issues as described.
I currently use Fedora Linux 42 (Workstation Edition Prerelease)
Model: Lenovo Legion 5 15ACH6
Kernel: Linux 6.14.0-63.c42.x86_64
