RDP feature in KDE Plasma 6.1 - not feasible for a VM?

or am I missing something? It’s a pretty vanilla KDE Plasma spin installation of fedora 40 updated to Plasma 6.1

I see the same issue with a macOS parallels f40 VM.
It has h264 codecs installed and can play h264 videos back in firefox.

I wonder what it is checking for?

the RDP support in Plasma Wayland isn’t very good. All kinds of problems and crashes.
