Processor microcode update

Hi,

My Fedora 38 Desktop Running KDE Plasma updated last night. When I rebooted and did another update this morning, I’m getting this message

I’ve rebooted twice now and I’m not sure what to do.

I ran

sudo dmesg | grep microcode

which produced this

[    0.000000] microcode: microcode updated early to revision 0x54, date = 2022-03-17
[    6.647822] microcode: Microcode Update Driver: v2.2.

Anyone have any suggestions.

after updating microcode_ctl a new initramfs must be created.

one of the following should work:

• wait until a new kernel comes via update
• reinstall the current kernel (don’t know if this triggers the creation of initramfs, too)
• take a look here:

and reboot afterwards
