I’m hoping you can help me with an issue encountered on my MacBook Air (2014) running Fedora KDE Plasma Desktop 39. Following a recent update, the system has stopped booting and displays the following error message:
error ../../grub-core/fs/fshelp.c:257:file
'/initramfs-6.7.7-200.fc39.x86_64.img' not found
Press any key to continue...
(Pressing keys does not do anything)
I suspect the update might have been interrupted, potentially during the kernel update process.
I would be grateful for any any guidance or steps to help me fix this issue.
Also worth checking how much disk space is free on /boot.
You should have lots of free disk space, but if /boot is full that is likely why the upgrade failed.
For my desktop I see:
$ df -h /boot
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/nvme1n1p2 974M 203M 704M 23% /boot
