I am in a situation that happened out of nowhere, I don’t know exactly what to do even after using chmod, nothing changed.
I tried using chmod +rwx /home/wendrew/.config and with ~/.config/retroarch chmod retroarch didn’t worked too
I was really confused what was happening, because I had downloaded retroarch before and wasn’t like that(I thought of changing to the steam version, but wasn’t that good.)
but then, I opened a small game through wine and was running at a very low fps, what was strange. I ran winecfg and a lot of strange errors appeared, so I searched about them but hadn’t success in anything(I tried reinstalling wine too, but it seemed worse and the config window only opened after I used sudo with it(I know is not recommended)
oh, the errors are these ones :

But when I changed to the drivers option(without sudo to winecfg)
this error appeared wine: Read access denied for device L"\??\D:\", FS volume label and serial are not available.

So what I thought was, it was a permission problem for read and write, that would makes sense to retroarch error into installing a core, but I don’t understand why this happened, it was normal until yesterday

I use a pendrive to boot btw, I don’t know if it is related.

Hey there, I’ll start off by saying I think you gave all files under /home/wendrew/.config permissions to :

r {read} w {write} x {execute}

which is what this command does chmod +rwx /home/wendrew/.config

I’m trying to look through your second post, but you used the wrong format so it looks a littles strange. Give me some time. . .

yes that’s what I tried to do after seeing that permission problem, retroarch is inside that folder, so I tried to give permissions to retroarch folder and .config folder to see if the problem would be fixed. but nothing changed.

what do you mean by wrong format?
