I am very new to linux… and I just wanted to have my nvidia driver working…
Every time of the boot I’ve got “xorg-x11-drv-nouveau” as a problem… In duckduck go someone said that it is the nvidia driver error…
Can anyone help me with the instillation of nvidia drivers…
while trying to solve the problem of nvidia driver… I have installed appsream metadata & Multimedia post-install…
I neither know what they are and are they going to do anything to my system??..just because one guy told me to do this on Youtube I did it…
Hey @superadmin : have you followed the instructions from RPM Fusion yet?
https://rpmfusion.org/Howto/NVIDIA
The “post-install” is about installing codecs and things that are not Free/Open Source and so you must install them yourself (since Fedora only ships Free/Open Source software). You can read more about this here:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Forbidden_items?rd=ForbiddenItems
The documentation here tells you how to install the necessary bits from RPM Fusion:
If you run into specific errors, please open topics about them and folks here can help fix/work around them.
@FranciscoD thank you… I am working on it… This is my 3rd time i have reinstalled fedora on my system after I could not boot
I never noticed the warning that nvidia doesnot works on wayland…
