Missing libGLEW shared object?

I’ve noticed that on Fedora 44, the libGLEW package is missing the 64-bit libGLEW.so file in the /usr/lib64 directory. Is there any specific reason for it, or is this an error?

I installed both the x86_64 and i686 versions.

(the versioned 64-bit libGLEW shared objects are still there)

That’s part of the devel package, see:

dnf provides \*/libGLEW.so
