I’m using an ASRock x570m pro4 motherboard, which has an integrated Realtek ALC1200 sound chip. The plugged-in microphone is detected on either the rear IO input, or on the front case input, and it looks like with the gnome settings app, the correct name is applied (front vs. rear) when I plug in to each location. However, I get zero sound at all when using the rear, and on front, a TON of static (seems like some auto-boost kicks in and makes things worse over time). This same hardware works perfectly on Windows 10, so I’d guess there’s something in software or configuration that’s screwing up.
Does anyone have experience making Realtek ALC1200 microphone input usable on Fedora 37?
Thanks!
