Hi, after updating on Monday (last action late at night) I started this morning with no success. System is booting as always, boot massages appear, apple logo, asahi logo and fedora logo are shown, just as normal. But after this screen turns black. I tried to login even if I don’t see anything but nothing happens. Pushing the power button I do see a fedora logo and a circular arc turning for a short time. Then machin is down. Any ideas?

I had this exact problem. I don’t remember the exact root cause, but SDDM kept crashing and if I tried to manually restart the SDDM service, the entire system would hang and crash. Here’s what solved it:
- On the black screen after boot, enter another TTY and log in. (Ctrl+Alt+F3-8)
- After logging in, connect to a network. I was getting errors trying to connect to WIFI using nmcli, but that might have been my fault. I used a USB-C ethernet cable and just plugged in.
sudo dnf update --refresh && sudo dnf upgrade --refresh- Install the updates, reboot
Everything went back to normal for me after that. I suspect we both updated around the same time where there was some broken combination of packages for a short period.
