Laptop screen unusable after upgrade to kernel 6.6.x.fc39.x86_64

At the risk of being called out for “bumping” this thread, I’m hoping I can maybe show how the issue I’m experiencing is a bit of a showstopper. I’m fairly new to Fedora and coming from other distros, I’ve never seen this kind of “major” usability issue before.

Now, many new kernels later since my original post and this issue still stubbornly persists. I’ve attached a photo of what it looks like. Maybe it will better illuminate the problem and better explain how it manifests itself, and perhaps trigger someone who has seen this before, or at least something similar. Maybe it’s not a kernel bug? My conclusion that it is is based on the fact that this only happens with 6.6 kernels.

My only recourse at this time is to keep an old 6.5 kernel and boot into it.

Is there a better place than here to report this bug? Fedora’s Bugzilla? Upstream kernel team?

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated. Thanks.
