Dell XPS 9520 running F40 & KDE. Ever since F40 the keyboard backlight has been occasionally turning off. I can restore it with the screen brightness/keyboard brightness widget in the system tray, or with a little D-Bus utility, but it’s annoying, and I’m certain this behavior didn’t exist prior to F40 - the keyboard backlight level just stayed where it was set.
It seems that the backlight level is not preserved across boots, and sleep mode probably resets it to 0, although it doesn’t seem to be 100% reproducible: basically I only notice it when the light has gone off (and I’m in the dark and can no longer see the keys!).
Anyone else experiencing this behavior?
