Kernel built of longterm 5.10 branch

This repository is created in the hope it will be useful. But is provided without any warranty.

This is a companion discussion topic for the original entry at https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/kwizart/kernel-longterm-5.10/

Fedora 35 will go out tomorrow. The compilation fails since some releases for FC 35. Will this be fixed in next times ? ( I want to upgrade to FC 35 with kernel-longterm-5.10)

You can keep the build from fc34 for now.

But also remind that 5.15 will be the next kernel LT.

I don’t know if I will have time to fix this, but patch welcomed…
Thanks for rising the concern though

Is this version currently working on Fedora 35? Seems like all the builds are failing. (sorry I’m pretty new to copr and not quite sure what to look for exactly)

The failure is only because some build are failing for f36 x86_64 (probably because of gcc-12).
This will be investigated at one pace, but for now fc35 build are green.

That been said, one should use kernel-longterm-5.15 now.

Great, thanks for your answer!
One follow-up question: I thought I might as well switch to 5.15, however to me all builds on all plattforms show as failed/red. If I understood you correctly it will still work? Is there a way to see this on the copr page?
